A bad beat story

I was told by JR when i started playing poker that i would remember the hands i lost with with vivid detail, but be unable to recall the hands i won big pots with. in the spirit of this, i will relate my favorite poker story.
I was playing in a tournament over at greggs old apartment, 6 people (myself, gregg, kyle loeper, joe pizzini, mace mike, and randi-greggs female next door neighbor) 20 dollar buy in, nothing fancy, 100 for the winner, 20 for 2nd. I had played tight, solid poker, busting greg on the first hand after flopping a straight and checking it to the river, only to check raise him all in...and had made it to the final 2. Me vs. Randi heads up, about even in chips (im slightly ahead, but not enough to really allow me to put pressure on her) and im playing fabulous. Randi is a very good, very intelligent player, but she is much like gregg in the fact that she bluffs. A lot. So about 3 hands into our heads up confrontation, i look down and see cowboys. Thats right, pocket kings in position. I just check to see the flop, as she had just called the small blind. Flop comes out a beautiful, orgasmic
K-A-K
For those of you playing the home game, i flopped quads. the best hand possible at that point.
She doesnt even have time to blink before she hops up and yells...ALL IN!
Here is the situation. Im playing for 100 bucks, against a noted bluffer, who just pushed all in at me when i have the absolute best hand possible. I have no choice but to call, because even if i had known what she had, i would have called to avoid angering the poker gods.
she flips over pocket aces, and cringes at my pocket kings and doesnt even look
the board now looks like
K-A-K

Me- K-K Her A-A

turn comes 7

K-A-K-7

Me- K-K Her A-A

River A

K-A-K-7-A

Me K-K (quad kings) Her A-A (Quad Aces, hitting a 98-2 longshot on the river to beat my quads) sending me on a tilt that has so far lasted a year and a half.

Negative Expectation play

It occurs to me that ive made my reputation and entire style completely based on a hand which can only be described as a horribly negative expectation play at best, and sheer stupidity at worst. As the name implies, i play pocket 4s as if they were pocket aces...strongly, and to the finish. Allthough this hand has let me down online, ive never ONCE had it lose a pot in a live game. This is in 2 plus years of poker playing it to the river every time, more often then not all in. Ive cracked pocket aces with this hand, pocket kings, bigger sets, straights, flushes, you name it ive cracked it. my question becomes, am i the beneficiary of incredible poker karma, and am always going to win this hand until my karma goes dry, or is there really a poker god, and this hand is the one im going to use to forge my image? im sure everyone has a hand like this (doyle brunson with his 10-2 offsuit) phil hellmuth with his pocket 9's, etc. but mine NEVER loses...its something to ponder
